[Updated] Halo 4 Launches With a Few Server Issues

Halo 4 has, at last, launched with a bang, but not without it’s fair share of hiccups.

In case you didn’t know, Halo 4 multiplayer is popular and it is not uncommon for big shooters such as this one to have a hard time dealing with the sudden influx of players and the large server load.

On top of connection issues and general delays, players have been reporting that their own data is being incorrectly displayed as well. Many report being permanently stuck at SR-1, the lowest rank in Halo 4 multiplayer, despite the progress they’ve made thus far.

We hope to see things turn around shortly as 343 Industries does have a team looking into the issues. On Twitter, they report, “We are aware of the servers issues & currently investigating. We will keep you updated. Thanks for your patience.” Similarly, they’ve responded to reports on the official forums, stating, “We hear you and apologize for the inconvenience. The team is currently investigating the issue and this thread will provide updates as we work on a fix. Stay tuned and thanks for your patience.”

We’ll do our best to keep you updated right here on MP1st as well, so stay tuned!

Update 2

343 Tweeted late last night,

Halo 4’s multiplayer server load issues were resolved earlier this evening [of October 6]. To those affected, we thank you for your patience.

Meanwhile, let us know – how has your Halo 4 experience been thus far?

Thanks, Kotaku.
