With Helldivers 2’s massive success and with Arrowhead Game Studios promising new content post-launch, could the possibility of PvP (Player vs. Player) be in the cards? Sadly, no, as Arrowhead’s boss has confirmed that Helldivers 2 PvP is “never” going to happen.
This was confirmed by Arrowhead Game Studios CEO Johan Pilestedt, who commented tat they want to reduce toxic elements from the community.
Hey; We'll "never" add a PvP-mode. This is to reduce toxic elements from the community.
We want an environment that's supportive, fun and where we all are fighting on the same side!

While that seems like a definitive answer, the word on crossovers is not.
Will Helldivers 2 Feature Crossover Content From Other Games or Licenses?
While Pilestedt hasn’t confirmed or denied anything about it just yet, the studio boss did say that “we’ll see” when it comes to crossovers and other team-ups. This was in response to a fan asking to see a potential crossover DLC content featuring stuff from the Killzone franchise.
Why it cosmetic only? Wouldn't you want the StA-52 to be accurately portrayed?
We'll see if we do crossovers.

I have to admit, that would be something special if Arrowhead can somehow introduce a Killzone crossover pack featuring Helghan armor and even enemies into the game. If not that, maybe the Aliens film franchise? Starship Troopers? There are endless possibilities!
While the game is still suffering from a few technical issues, Arrowhead released a patch yesterday that helped mitigate this. You can also check out the known issues being worked on by Arrowhead right here.
Helldivers 2 is out now on PS5 and PC, and our review will hit the site soon.
