Helldivers 2 Down as Servers at Capacity This August 26

With the release of the Xbox Series X|S version happening earlier today, as well as the Halo collaboration, it seems that divers hoping to get some evening gaming are being hit with some issues, as Helldivers 2 servers appear to be down, with multiple reports of servers hitting capacity.

Arrowhead Games Studios has yet to acknowledge the issues, though some are having some luck getting in.

Helldivers 2 Down With Server Capacity Issues This Aug. 26 Status:

Update (Aug 27 at 2:15 a.m.): It appears that servers are back to normal. Carry on, helldiver, and continue the fight for Super Earth!

Reports have begun flooding in on the official Helldivers 2 Reddit, as well as Down Detector, that the game is experiencing server issues. Players have reported being unable to access the game, with some noting a server capacity error appearing.

At the moment, the only workaround is to let the game try to reconnect again and hope that it logs you in.

With it now being the evening here in the States, it’s no surprise to see that Helldivers 2 is experiencing some issues as millions of people are finally getting home from their long day of work. Peak gaming hours are usually around this time (6 pm to 11 PM CT), and with Helldivers 2 just releasing on the Xbox Series X|S, as well as having its Halo collaboration, it’s no surprise to see the title getting hammered with new and old players.

Hopefully, Arrowhead can get these issues under control soon so we all can get back into the fight!

As always, we’ll continue to monitor the situation, and should anything official come from the studio or improvements be seen, we’ll be sure to let you all know.

Hopefully, there aren’t any server issues with the next major Helldivers 2 update launching next week.
