Helldivers 2 Next Major Update “Into the Unjust” Launches September 2; New Warbond Out Just Days After
If you thought Helldivers 2 launching on the Xbox Series X|S today, along with the Halo collaboration event, was the only content we’d be getting in a while, think again, as Arrowhead Game Studios has just unveiled the game’s next major update, “Into the Unjust.”
Set to arrive next week on September 2, this update introduces the Gloom threat, which has transformed planets into massive hive worlds filled with terrifying threats both above and beneath their surfaces.
Not Even the Super Destroyer Will Save You in Helldivers 2’s Next Major Update
The “Into the Unjust” update will bring a ton of new content, but the big talk of it, as shown off in the deep dive above, is the Hive Worlds —planets that have been engulfed in the Gloom, with new Terminid threats to be found. While the surface will offer many new deadly foes, it’s the new underground system that this update will introduce that will see players venturing into a deep network of tunnels that are filled with Gloom mutated Terminids.
Players are going to need to work closely together here, too, as while air support from the Super Destroyer has come in rather clutch for many, it’s something Helldivers won’t be able to call upon while exploring the tunnels. The good thing is that new reinforcements (Xbox players) arrived today, as we’ll need all the help we can get to eliminate this new threat.
Additionally, a new Warbond will be released just a few days later, on September 4. This is called the “Dust Devils” Warbnond, and as one might expect, this includes new weapons, cosmetics and more.

Weapons and Stratagems:
AR-2 Coyote
You can hunt in packs or go by your lonesome with this assault rifle that features incendiary ammunition. But be warned: this coyote is wild.
G-7 Pineapple
This cluster frag grenade might look like a cute and unassuming fruit, but it’ll have the bugs in absolute pieces.
S-11 Speargun
A true big game hunter’s companion. The S-11 fires heavy-duty projectiles that release a cloud of gas on impact.
EAT-700 Expendable Napalm
Heat up the planet with this single-use missile that contains napalm cluster bombs.
MS-11 Solo Silo
The long-range power of a missile in a new convenient package. Calls down a Hellpod-sized missile silo with a single, ultra-powerful missile and a handheld targeting remote.

Captures the essence of armies marching through the desert sands. Wear with the Rightful occupier cape and player card for a polished look.
DS-191 Scorpion
