It is rare for a game this good to be offered for free, especially one that normally costs $20. But that’s what’s happened today, as one game that’s highly-regarded is now free to own for everyone as long as they have a gaming device capable of running it.

This is not just a free weekend trial, but a full game giveaway that will remain in your account forever if you claim it before April 14.

If you liked Stardew Valley, this is another game you can easily spend hundreds of hours playing. Graveyard Keeper has a similar gameplay loop and visual style to Eric Barone’s game, but instead of managing a farm, you will be in charge of a cemetery.

The official description of the game reads, “Graveyard Keeper is the most inaccurate medieval cemetery management sim of all time. Build and manage your own graveyard, and expand into other ventures, while finding shortcuts to cut costs. Use all the resources you can find. After all, this is a game about the spirit of capitalism, and doing whatever it takes to build a thriving business. And it’s also a love story.”

The developer did not make the game free by chance. The giveaway is meant to build hype and excitement around the recently announced sequel, Graveyard Keeper 2, which has just received its first trailer.

Make sure to claim Graveyard Keeper on your preferred platform. It is available on PC via Steam, PlayStation Store, and Xbox Store, but only until April 14, so be sure to claim it before then.

As noted earlier, it is rare for a game of this quality to be offered for free on every platform. Similar offers appear fairly often on Steam or Epic, but seeing the game free on consoles as well makes this an especially generous deal.

If you’re looking for more cheap gaming deals, the PlayStation Store’s Spring sale has just been updated to add more titles before it ends later this month.
