Avalanche Software has released Hogwarts Legacy update 1.003, which is the game’s first patch since launch! While the game is officially out today, it’s been available for a few days already as part of the Deluxe Edition Early Access perk. Size: 2.7GB (Xbox), 295MB (PC), 

Update: Multiple gamers on the game’s subreddit have confirmed that this patch on PC didn’t fix any crashing issues related to memory usage.

No patch notes have been released just yet still.

In the review guidelines sent to us for review, Avalanche Software mentioned that a day one update for ray-tracing was set to be rolled out.

*Please note, ray tracing performance improvements will be included in a day one launch patch.

Here are the known issues with Hogwarts Legacy that’s listed in the official site:

Investigation in Progress:

  • Crashing after Seizure warning
  • Frame rate and green face bug
  • The game crash when accept the terms
  • Falling through World
  • Sony DualSense: Haptics/rumble not working
  • Professor Fig Bug
  • NPCs appear suddenly, when User is exploring Hogwarts
  • Missing separate settings for text/subtitle/UI and/or audio language.

Open:

  • Can’t claim Wizarding World items
  • Game not unpacking

Outside of that, no official changelog has been shared just yet, though we’re expecting that to change within the day. Once we know more about it, we’ll be sure to update the article accordingly.

  • The game crash when accept the terms – This is a feature, not a bug. The game just doesn’t believe you TRULY accept the terms.
