Horizon Forbidden West Update 1.16

Horizon Forbidden West is shaping up to be one of the most anticipated releases of Q1 2022, and to pile to the hype Guerrilla Games has introduced the Slitherfang in a brand-new gameplay clip! The clip shows Aloy fighting off with a formidable mechanical snake, and if this does not get you hyped up for the game then nothing will. Check out the clip below.

Coming exclusively from Game Informer, the 30-second clip shows off Aloy utilizing her skills and weapons against the fearsome snake-like enemy called Slitherfang in Horizon Forbidden West.

The monstrosity also makes use of acid-based attacks which are sure to give problems to unprepared players. As noted in the Game Informer exclusive:

Of course, acid isn’t the only weapon at the Slitherfang’s disposal. The rattle on its tail fires bolts of lightning that produce a wide-reaching wave of electricity. We noticed the Slitherfang shakes its rattle shortly before firing, much like the warning sign of a real rattlesnake, which is a nice touch. The rattle is fragile, though, and skilled archers can detach the tail with a few well-placed arrows. Best of all, you can pick up and use the rattle as a weapon against the Slitherfang (although the machine does sport a resistance to shock damage).
