The Division 3 Boss Leaves Ubisoft to Join Battlefield Studios

With just days before Battlefield 6 launches, some might not be aboard the hype train yet even after trying the game in its Open Beta weekend.

If you’re worried about the content that you’ll be able to experience at launch, don’t be. While it won’t have the same amount of maps, weapons and other stuff as in Battlefield 4, it’s nowhere near the drought that Battlefield 2042 brought.

Below is a list of the last few Battlefield games released in the last 15 years, and how BF6’s launch content stacks up against the rest.

Battlefield 6 Fares Well When Compared Against Past BF Games When It Comes to Launch Content

Battlefield 3 (2011)

  • Primaries: 39
  • Secondaries: 8
  • Vehicles: 22
  • Maps: 9

Battlefield 4 (2013)

  • Primaries: 64
  • Secondaries: 13
  • Pickups: 3
  • Vehicles: 36
  • Maps: 10

Battlefield Hardline (2015)

  • Primaries: 35
  • Secondaries: 16
  • Pickups: 2
  • Vehicles: 23
  • Maps: 9

Battlefield 1 (2016)

  • Primaries: 30
  • Secondaries: 18
  • Pickups: 3
  • Vehicles: 24
  • Maps: 9

Battlefield V (2018)

  • Primaries: 30
  • Secondaries: 7
  • Vehicles: 21
  • Maps: 8

Battlefield 2042 (2021)

Launch (Standard):

  • Primaries: 19
  • Secondaries: 3
  • Vehicles: 14
  • Maps: 7

With Portal Mode:

  • Primaries: 33
  • Secondaries: 1
  • Vehicles: 33
  • Maps: 6

Battlefield 6 (2025)

  • Primaries: 41
  • Secondaries: 4
  • Vehicles: 15
  • Maps: 9

For reference, the Battlefield game with teh most weapons at launch was BF4, which featured 64 primary weapons and 13 secondaries. That game also had the most maps at launch, at 10, and the most vehicles too, with 36.

The overall loser? It’s unsurprisingly Battlefield 2042, which had just six maps at launch and 33 primary weapons.

Thankfully, it’s not ending there. EA has revealed the Season 1 slate of content we’re going to get on Oct. 28, and there’s something new to look forward to every month until the end of 2025.

There’s also a day-one update set to be released, which will house over 200 fixes. Stay tuned here on MP1st, as we have a lot more Battlefield content on the way.

Thank you for this, I was actually curious to see how it stacked up against 3,4 and 5. Looks like a decent amount of stuff at launch, with a solid roadmap throughout the rest of the year.
