Peripheral Maker Mad Catz Is Now Back Under New Management, New Range of Products to Be Revealed at CES

Early in 2017, peripheral maker Mad Catz announced that it was closing its doors after more than 25 years in business, due to massive company losses since it hedged its bet on Rock Band 4 — which it published and manufactured  — and it didn’t pay off.

Well, now, the company is back! Major difference though, as the new Mad Catz is under new management, and a new range of “high quality” gaming products. First off, Mad Catz headquarters is now in Hong Kong. Selena Chang, Director of Sales and Operations, had this to say, We couldn’t be more excited than to begin 2018 by announcing the return of Mad Catz to the global gaming arena. Mad Catz has been a permanent fixture in gaming for almost three decades and we firmly believe it’s best days lie ahead.”

Mad Catz’s official reveal of the company’s new product line will be at CES (Consumer Electronics Show) which will take place in Las Vegas, Nevada, from January 9 to January 12, 2018.

Some of the products set to be unveiled are a new R.A.T. mice, S.T.R.I.K.E. keyboards, F.R.E.Q. gaming headsets, and G.L.I.D.E. gaming surfaces.

Once we know more about Mad Catz’s new line of gaming hardware, we’ll let our readers know ASAP. Let’s hope they’re of better build this time.

Congrats on the rebirth, Mad Catz!
