Marathon Down on April 21 to Apply Patch 1.0.6.1

It’s another week, and that means Bungie is once again taking the Marathon servers down temporarily to apply a game update.

For April 21, Bungie is set to roll out update 1.0.6.1, which should fix issues that arose from the game’s mid-season patch released last week.

Tuesday, April 21, 2026 — Update 1.0.6.1

5:00 AM PDT UTC-7
  • Marathon will undergo maintenance.
  • Sign-on will be unavailable.
  • Players actively in runs will be able to complete them.
5:30AM PDT UTC-7
  • Marathon will begin being brought offline for expected maintenance.
  • Players will start being removed from activities.
7:00 AM PDT UTC-7
  • The latest Marathon update is expected to become available across all platforms and regions.

8:00 AM PDT

UTC-7

  • Players are expected to be able to log back into Marathon.
  • Players logging into the game may be placed in a queue and may experience sign-on issues as background maintenance is still ongoing.
9:00 AM PDT UTC-7
  • Marathon maintenance is expected to conclude.
  • Console players who encounter issues updating should restart their console and try downloading the update.
  • Players who observe issues should report to the Marathon Help Forum.

Once the update is out, expect it here on MP1st.
