Metal Gear Solid 3 Iconic Ladder Scene Get’s Remade in Unreal Engine 4

Metal Gear Solid 3 Unreal Engine Remake

While the world continues to glamor at the idea of a Metal Gear Solid Remake, one fan has taken it upon themselves to remake one of the series most iconic moment, the ladder scene from Metal Gear Solid 3, all in real-time running on the Unreal Engine 4 — it’s quite a thrill.

Meet Warpgazer Animation, a YouTube channel that specializes is creating CGI fan films. They’ve pushed quite a bit of animations over the years, with some of their popular work revolving around the Warhammer series, though many of you may remember them for their Metal Gear Solid 1 intro remake.

Well, seems like they aren’t quite done with the series just yet as today they published an all new video, this time of THE LADDEER SCENE from Metal Gear Solid 3. Yep, the very same one where you spend a crazy amount of time climbing a ladder as the main theme plays in the background. Here, have a watch.

Here’s what Warpgazer Animations said in their YouTube description about the scene:

Remake of one of the most iconic scenes in MGS3: The ladder scene. As an Easter present for everyone, we decided to spend a few weeks to recreate this game part as a small cinematic with a funny bonus of a typical cardboard box sneaking sequence. We hope you enjoy! Everything rendered in real-time using Unreal Engine 4.26 with full RTX raytracing enabled.

Pretty freaking awesome if you ask me, and it definitely get’s us even more pumped for a remake if that were to ever happen. That of course all depends on Konami, to which we say; Do you it you cowards!
