Metal Gear Solid Master Collection Vol.1 Framerates and Resolution Revealed for Each Title and Platform

Konami has revealed the target framerate and resolution each game in the Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol.1 will be running at come launch.

In an update on the official Metal Gear Solid Master Collection website, Konami has provided details about each game’s target resolution and framerate for each platform.

Metal Gear Solid

PlayStation 5 – 1920×1080 resolution @ 30 FPS
PlayStation 4 (Including PS4 Pro) – 1920×1080 resolution @ 30 FPS
Xbox Series X|S – 1920×1080 resolution @ 30 FPS
Nintendo Switch (Handheld Mode) – 1280×1080 resolution @ 30 FPS
Nintendo Switch (TV Mode) – 1920×1080 resolution @ 30 FPS
Steam (PC) – 1920×1080 resolution @ 30 FPS

Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty

PlayStation 5 – 1920×1080 resolution @ 60 FPS
PlayStation 4 (Including PS4 Pro) – 1920×1080 resolution @ 60 FPS
Xbox Series X|S – 1920×1080 resolution @ 60 FPS
Nintendo Switch (Handheld Mode) – 1280×1080 resolution @ 30 FPS
Nintendo Switch (TV Mode) – 1920×1080 resolution @ 30 FPS
Steam (PC) – 1920×1080 resolution @ 60 FPS

Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater

PlayStation 5 – 1920×1080 resolution @ 60 FPS
PlayStation 4 (Including PS4 Pro) – 1920×1080 resolution @ 60 FPS
Xbox Series X|S – 1920×1080 resolution @ 60 FPS
Nintendo Switch (Handheld Mode) – 1280×1080 resolution @ 30 FPS

Sadly, no platform offers 4K resolution of any kind, which is surprising, considering how old the titles are and how the PS5, Xbox Series, and PC versions are more than capable of running it at a much higher resolution. Metal Gear Solid is locked at 30 FPS across all platforms.

Perhaps an update will come later for the mentioned platforms, though we’re sure modders on PC will quickly increase both the resolution and frame rate caps.

Metal Gear Solid Master Collection Vol.1 will be released on October 24 for the PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
