Konami’s revival of the Metal Gear IP is moving forward at full speed since the PlayStation Showcase announcement yesterday. The Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 1 PlayStation Store page is now live, notably revealing which editions of the original titles are being ported to modern platforms. Additionally, regional versions of the titles will be available as separate downloads in order to account for copyright issues.

At the PlayStation Showcase, Konami announced a full-scale Metal Gear Solid 3 remake featuring the original voice cast (though David Hayter’s return has not yet been confirmed), as well as largely-unchanged ports of the original Metal Gear Solid 1 through 3 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PS5. Though Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater (the name of the remake) does not yet have a release window, the Master Collection Vol. 1 is set for launch sometime during Autumn 2023.
