Mobile Suit Gundam Extreme vs. Maxiboost ON PS4 Release Announced for 2020

Mobile Suit Gundam Extreme Vs. Maxiboost ON PS4 Release has finally been revealed, and after nearly 3 years of being available on arcade systems, PlayStation owners will finally get to enjoy this gem of a title later this year.

Gundam Extreme Vs. Maxiboost ON focuses heavily on its 2v2 battles, allowing players to take control of an onslaught of Mobile suits throughout the history of Gundam The game will boast 183 playable units all with a unique fighting style that differs from one another. Down below is the exciting announcement trailer along with more details around the game.

Mobile Suit Gundam Extreme Vs. Maxiboost ON originally released back in 2016 for Arcade systems, exclusively in Japan. Previously, the PlayStation 3 saw the release of Gundam Extreme Vs Full Boost, while the PlayStation 4 actually got more of a spin-off to the series known as Gundam VERSUS, though reception wise was rather poor due to how different it was compared to the Vs. series. I will say, playing Full Boost on the PlayStation 3, this is one fighting title that you shouldn’t skip out on. We’ll have more coverage on the title as it releases, and hopefully, a firm release date gets announced soon.

Set in the globally iconic GUNDAM universe, MOBILE SUIT GUNDAM EXTREME VS. MAXIBOOST ON enables players to take 2-on-2 PVP combat to the next level with Mobile Suits spanning the entire breadth of the franchise’s history. In total, MOBILE SUIT GUNDAM EXTREME VS. MAXIBOOST ON features 183 playable units from 36 different GUNDAM iterations, each with unique abilities designed to match any fan’s personal playstyle. Players can choose between three different EX Burst Systems—Fighting Burst, Extend Burst and Shooting Burst—to coordinate with allies and lay waste to all that stand—or fly—in their way.

“The EXTREME VS series is known for its high-octane brand of PVP Mobile Suit battles, and MOBILE SUIT GUNDAM EXTREME VS. MAXIBOOST ON is primed to take that style of combat to awesome new heights never-before-seen by GUNDAM fans in the Americas,” said Abelina Villegas, Associate Brand Manager at BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment America Inc. “We can’t wait for Western fans to get their first taste of the title that’s captivated Japanese arcade-players for years when it finally makes its console debut on the PlayStation 4.”
