With the launch of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Season 1, alongside the launch of Warzone 2.0, it seems Infinity Ward and Raven Software not only brought in new content, but quite a number of issues too. The upside is, the studio is aware of the problems, and have updated the official Trello boards of both games to reflect it. Check out the Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2.0 known issues, which is accurate as of November 16, 2022.

Modern Warfare 2 Known Issues:

GLOBAL KNOWN ISSUES:

• We’re investigating an issue affecting the Social menu.We’re investigating an issue affecting the Social menu.
• We’re investigating an issue where some players are unable to use Battle Tokens when encountering the “Max Tokens” error message.We’re investigating an issue where some players are unable to use Battle Tokens when encountering the “Max Tokens” error message.
• We’re investigating an issue where players may not be able to equip operator default executions.
• Laser attachments in third person POV are currently disabled while we work on a fix.

MULTIPLAYER KNOWN ISSUES:

• Ping remains disabled in Core MP following ongoing issues, but is active in Warzone 2.0 (BR and DMZ).
• We’re aware of an issue affecting spawn locations in MP, and are currently testing a fix.

Fix in Progress:

• CDL Moshpit: This mode has been temporarily delayed. 

Fix Coming in Future Update:

• Ground War map Santa Seña currently has a bug where the APC can respawn in a location that renders it stuck and immovable.
• We’re aware of a DDOS Field upgrade availability bug.
• We’re aware of a bug affecting helicopter height, which allows them to leave the map in some instances.

SINGLEPLAYER KNOWN ISSUES:

• We’re investigating a potential issue with Night War AI.
• Some Xbox users may experience a crash when disconnecting from the internet and starting a new SP save.

Warzone 2.0 Known Issues:

ISSUES | GAME-WIDE

• [All Platforms] Battle Tokens Error: An issue is being investigated that is causing players to encounter the “Max Tokens” error when attempting to spend tokens in the Battle Pass.
• [All Platforms] Social Menu: Some players are unable to access the Social Menu.
• [All Platforms] Operator Executions: An issue is being investigated that prevents players from equipping the default Operator Executions.
• [All Platforms] Play Again Disabled: The Play Again button after a match has been disabled while we investigate an issue.

ISSUES | BATTLE ROYALE

• [All Platforms] Inconsistent AAR: We’re investigating an issue that is preventing the After Action Report from consistently appearing for Players. This does not impact XP gains.
• [All Platforms] Missing Squad Widget: We’re aware of an issue causing squad members to not appear on the Squad Widget on the bottom left of the in-game interface.
• [All Platforms] Skipping Downed Phase: Some Players are Eliminated in situations where they should have been Downed.

Some of the other issues that have surfaced, include the Friends list bug, as well as one that prevents players from installing the game properly.
