Like Season 1 Reloaded, Season 2 Reloaded is expected to be a mid-season content update, apparently bringing a new Core 6v6 multiplayer map, new multiplayer modes, and a fresh Raid episode to Modern Warfare 2. The Infinity Ward multiplayer team originally planned to release the new Core map earlier, but has brought its release forward owing to solid results from the playtesting phase. The team has also shared a screenshot of the upcoming map:
In Season 3, and even though it was just added to Modern Warfare 2, Infinity Ward is planning to incorporate Ranked Play in Warzone 2 as well. Warzone 1’s fan-favorite Plunder mode – where the win condition is the fattest stack – will also come to Warzone 2 with the new Season. Meanwhile, the 2v2 40-second Gun Fight mode will be returning to Modern Warfare 2 with Season 3, and Infinity Ward promises new maps for the mode with each upcoming Season.
In the meantime, Season 2 has just gone live, and those interested can check out the Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 patch notes for the kickoff update or go over the roadmap to see what exciting content will be coming to the two games over the course of the new Season.
