Modern Warfare 2 Beta Size Revealed, Client Uploaded to PlayStation Network

modern warfare 2 beta size

With Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2’s beta set to roll out soon, it looks like Activision has started prepping the beta client on the backend, and it’s been confirmed that it’s been uploaded to the PlayStation Network, which gives us an idea on how big the Modern Warfare 2 beta size is.

According to PlayStation Network data scraper PlayStation Game Sizes, the Modern Warfare 2 beta file size clocks in at 15-30GB, with the size varying for the platform and region. Those in EU, it seems you’ll be downloading the biggest data.

As one might expect, this will be quite a download even if it’s just a beta. Of course, Activision is known to release rather meaty beta slices of their games, so expect an update or two for the beta. If you want to check the complete schedule of the MW2 beta, head on over here

While the beta for PlayStation players with early access will kick off this September 16, the Call of Duty Next event will take place on September 15 where we will see the multiplayer revealed, a look at Warzone 2.0 and more!

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 launches for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PS5, PS4, and PC on October 28, 2022.

I can’t even play the beta on my PS4 because it’s saying that it’s ongoing maintenance whatever that means

The Beta doesn’t start for PlayStation til the 16th. Access for the Xbox and PC isn’t until 22nd. So you can’t play anything til Friday. That’s why it says on going maintenance.
