Modern Warfare 3 Campaign Gameplay Blasts Out, Killstreaks in Single-Player and Open-World Zombies Confirmed

Activision has unveiled nine minutes of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 campaign gameplay at gamescom Opening Night Live, and this is from the game’s first mission in Operation 627!

Alongside the gameplay, Sledgehammer Creative Director David Swenson has confirmed that players will be able to use killstreaks in single-player, which is a first for the franchise!

In addition to that, Swenson also revealed that Zombies mode for MW3 will be open-world, which is, again, a first for the franchise. Another first, is “Open Combat Missions” which will allow players to make their own choices in the game.

Finally, it’s been confirmed we’ll be getting a new Call of Duty Next event this October 5! I assume this is when we’ll hear about the game’s multiplayer.
