Just yesterday, leaked images and details for this year’s Call of Duty game — Modern Warfare 3 (styled as Modern Warfare III) — surfaced, and one of the leaked info mentioned how operators, weapons and other bundles bought from Modern Warfare 2 will carry over to MW3 (MWIII).
Well, it looks like that’s confirmed, as the official Call of Duty account ran a poll basically confirming it.
Let’s get this out of the way…
Should #MWII Operators, Weapons and Bundles carry forward into Call of Duty 2023?

In addition to that, the Modern Warfare 3 reveal has now been confirmed to be happening in Season 5 of Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone.
Look for the first details about the [REDACTED] Reveal Event in the Season 05 Announcement and additional #MWII carry forward details soon. Stay frosty.

Mind, this isn’t really surprising, as we’re expecting this year’s Call of Duty to be revealed in Warzone, which has been the norm for the past few years.
Interestingly enough, Call of Duty info source CharlieIntel claims that having Modern Warfare 2 items be transferrable to MW3 has been planned for months, which is kind of weird why Activision would announce just now.
And content transferring was not recently decided. It’s been planned for a while.

With Season 4 Reloaded well underway, we should be hearing about Season 5 very soon, which means we should get our official reveal for Modern Warfare 3.
Hopefully, we get more than just an announcement trailer for MW3 and the gameplay reveal incoming at a much later date. I mean, it’s already kind of late for the year for a Cal of Duty announcement, and I hope Activision doesn’t drag it out that much.
