Modern Warfare 3 Ranked Play Coming During Season 1, Treyarch Handling Development

modern warfare 3 ranked play

Good news! Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Ranked Play will be arriving sometime during the game’s first season. This was confirmed by the developers during today’s COD Next event.

Ranked Play was added to Modern Warfare 2 back in February and was developed by Treyarch. The team has confirmed that Treyarch will return to port the popular mode to the remakeof MW3.

While Ranked Play won’t be available at launch, it’s slated to arrive during the Season 1 mid-season update. This will give players some time to get accustomed to the game’s maps, movement, and weaponry before hopping into ranked to try to reach the top of the leaderboards.

Are you looking forward to getting into Ranked Play in MW3? Let us know in the comments.

Hopefully there is enough incentive to go into rank play that it actually separates the hard core players from the working class casual players so both sides can get what they want. That and the sbmm tuned correctly this time. Casual matches should not feel like a tournament every match.
