Modern Warfare 3 Reveal to Take Place in Warzone Limited-Time Mode Event, More Details Shared

Modern Warfare 3 Reveal

Just last week, Activision announced that the reveal of Call of Duty 2023 — or what we now know as Modern Warfare 3 — will take place in Season 5. We surmised that just like previous entries in the franchise the past few years, this would be happening in-game in Warzone. Well, that was spot-on, as Activision has confirmed that a new limited-time mode (LTM) will take place in Season 5 for the MW3 reveal!

Here’s the confirmation of the announcement from Activision:

Drop into Call of Duty: Warzone to experience the worldwide reveal for Call of Duty 2023 in a limited-time event. Join the ranks of Shadow Company to take on Konni forces and secure the chemical weapon threat before it’s too late. Stay tuned to Call of Duty channels for more details about the upcoming reveal.

Again, this isn’t really surprising news given the last few Call of Duty games were revealed the same way. What’s surprising to me is how Activision still hasn’t acknowledged that this year’s COD game is Modern Warfare 3. I mean, we’ve had images leak, and even a cross-promotional ad that gave us our look at the game’s logo and all.

Here’s to hoping that the reveal and our first gameplay look won’t be far apart.

This year’s Call of Duty will see Sledgehamer Games at the helm and has no release date set just yet.
