NFL Player and Former Infinity Ward Employee Confirm Call of Duty 2019 Is Next Chapter in Modern Warfare

modern warfare 2 remastered

While there have been rumors floating since early this year that Call of Duty 2019 is going to be Modern Warfare 4, we haven’t seen or heard anything tangible from anyone confirming it is part of the Modern Warfare series of games.

Well, that is, until now. Remember when we posted a day ago that certain NFL players were invited to a private Cal of Duty event where they got to lay their hands on this year’s game? One of those players is NFL Tennessee Titans quarterback Marcus Mariota. During a Twitch stream of Fortnite by Nickmerks, Mariota casually dropped confirmation that this year’s Call of Duty is a new entry in the Modern Warfare saga! Watch him say in the video below.

If that wasn’t enough confirmation, former Infinity Ward Creative Strategist Robert Bowling, answered a fan on Twitter stating he’d better buy some brown pants given the fan said he’d shit his pants if this year’s Call of Duty is Modern Warfare.

Given Bowling’s past employment, I suspect he knows a thing or two more about Infinity Ward’s plans compared to your average gamer. The only question now is, will it be titled Modern Warfare 4 or something else?

What would you want to see from this year’s Modern Warfare Call of Duty game? Let’s hope Infinity Ward can bring back some of that MW2 magic, no?

This announcement is similar to being in an elevator. When someone else farts. And you can hear it. We all know what happened but we just have to sit there and suffer it anyways.

Good luck, MW4. Dear god you will need it.
