Back in September, we ran a post wherein the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare beta netcode was looked over, with the results not really looking good for Infinity Ward. Well, the game is now out officially, and the devs have taken it upon themselves to explain the Modern Warfare netcode.
Narrating and explaining the eight-minute video is Production Director Paul Haile, and Director of Online Engineering Mitch Sanborn. Unfortunately, though, it doesn’t really explain anything, and we think Infinity Ward knows this as they have immediately turned the comments off.
Regardless if you’re someone familiar with how netcode works or not, this isn’t really the video fans were looking forward to, and the community didn’t react kindly to it.
Here are some of the comments left by the community:
That’s basically how it goes. You can read more regarding it here.
Hopefully, someone like Battle(non)sense can make another netcode analysis video so we can know what’s really wrong.
For those playing Modern Warfare, how’s the netcode been for you? Has it been consistent or are you still getting shot behind corners? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.
