Just last week, Infinity Ward revealed that the .357 revolver Snake Shot will be getting a nerf soon-ish and that time is now. Today, Infinity Ward released the Modern Warfare playlist update May 7 changes, which includes the Snake Shot nerf and more.
Modern Warfare playlist update May 7 patch notes:
General Fixes:
- Tuning all smoke challenges to be a bit more forgiving. This includes the challenge to unlock the Bruen MK9
- Fix to help prevent vehicle exploits
- Various exploit fixes, including Ground War Infected
- GameBattles: Fix for a few issues where players might not be able to join a new match
- Reduced fire delay on the Lightweight and Match Grade trigger attachments on all .357 calibers
- .357 Snake Shot damage rebalance
- Fixed a bug where the damage on the .357 Snake Shot was too high at longer distances
Note that this is a server-side update and does not require a download. Players will automatically download it when connecting to the game’s servers.
As someone who has yet to unlock the Bruen LMG, I’m glad they’re toning challenges down since it’s a pain to constantly have to throw smoke wherever you are.
If there are other changes not included in this Modern Warfare playlist update March 7 edition, we’ll be sure to let our readers know.
