During Geoff Keighley’s annual live event, we got another look at Capcom’s next Monster Hunter entry after the recent State of Play showcase. The Summer Game Fest trailer confirmed Monster Hunter Wilds crossplay and showed off more new monsters and crazy combat that got us even more excited to finally play this game!

You can watch the new Summer Game Fest trailer for Monster Hunter Wilds below:

Here are some details from the press release that went out shortly following the trailer’s showing:

Meet the Balahara

A Leviathan species monster that inhabits sandy areas was shown off in this trailer, known as the Balahara. It moves smoothly through the sand with its twisted body and uses mucus secreted from within its body to attack. Desert-dwelling leviathans that use their supple, serpentine bodies to create quicksand traps for unwary prey.

In the new trailer, you can see multiple Balahara attacking the large-bodied Doshaguma, and smaller monsters attacking the Chatacabra. In the harsh environment of the Forbidden Lands, you will witness not only territorial battles between large monsters but also smaller monsters attacking larger ones. By understanding and adapting to the behavior of monsters in such an environment, you can gain an advantage in your hunts.
