Unless you haven’t been playing a lot of video games lately, it’s no secret that Capcom’s Monster Hunter World is a very, very successful game for the company. Well, it seems evens its full-fledged expansion Iceborne is, too! Capcom has announced that the Monster Hunter World Iceborne sales numbers peg the title at five million units shipped worldwide!

Capcom announced that Monster Hunter — as a franchise — has now amassed over 62 million units sold as of March 13, 2020. As for Monster Hunter World, the title has shipped 15 million units worldwide as of January 2, 2020, which is the first title in Capcom’s long history to achieve this record.

Note that for Monster Hunter World Iceborne, the five-million number is for units shipped and not sold, which is still an impressive feat — especally if you consider it’s just an expansion.

Capcom also mentioned that the Monster Hunter mobile title called Monster Hunter Riders for iOS and Android, have now reached more than three million downloads!

A hearty congratulations are in order for Capcom, though I doubt they’ll hear that given they’re probably swimming in pools of money over there. And don’t be surprised to see a new Monster Hunter World make its way to consoles in the near future.
