Earlier today, we posted that NetherRealm has acknowledged and said that a Mortal Kombat 11 forfeit glitch fix will be released once the studio finds out how. While there’s no official fix yet, a rather resourceful player has found one, and it seems to be working based on player feedback!

Over on the Mortal Kombat subreddit, user YouHouSA1 has posted what appears to be an exploit to beat an exploit.

Sadly I’m not sure how it’s done on PC/Switch yet. however, the fix is triggered by enabling the “Splash screen”. that asks you for a new controller reconnection. It’s why it triggers on PS4. For XB1 however you need 2 controllers (or maybe just 1 if someone can test it).

Disconnect controller 1 to trigger splash screen

Connect controller 2 and hit B where it says “Take me to title screen”. It will say ENDING GAME but do not worry. That’s so the forfeit triggers for them.

It will go to title screen controller 2 will ask what profile to use. use the same one you have logged in for.

You will get your pts and your W and best of all, the opponent will eat the L and – points.

For those unaware, the Mortal Kombat 11 forfeit glitch is a thing happening now in the Kombat League where console and pc players are suffering from sore losers that can lock up the screen if they wanted to if they lost the first round. This would mean that the other player will be forced to quit the match thus taking the loss. Unfortunately, the timer doesn’t seem to help in this case as well.

Why do people do this? Given how some people take their online achievements, I can’t say I’m surprised anymore. Once NetherRealm rolls out a proper and official fix, we’ll be sure to let our readers know.
