Ahead of the game’s launch later this year, CyberConnect2 and Bandai Namco Entertainment have unveiled a combined character trailer for Boruto’s Karma form, the genin Kawaki and Isshiki Ōtsutsuki’s vessel Jigen in Naruto x Boruto Ultimate Ninja Storm Connections. The game is still set for a 2023 release on all platforms. The developers will be providing a playable demo of the game at Anime Expo from July 1 – 4 at the NARUTO booth (#2600).

Announced at PlayStation’s State of Play event in February this year, the latest Ultimate Ninja Storm title will feature the largest character roster of any Naruto game and supports 60fps on current-gen consoles. The three new characters’ abilities are described as follows:

• BORUTO (KARMA) – Boruto (Karma) is one of Boruto’s forms, allowing him to draw upon the power of the Karma seal, an implant of one of the series’ overarching villains Momoshiki Otsutsuki’s memories and abilities, to become even more powerful against enemy players.

• KAWAKI – Kawaki was raised in a secret society to be the future vessel for Isshiki Otsutsuki. Equipped with a Karma seal and microscopic Shinobi-Ware, he can attack with a variety of mystical and technological skills.

• JIGEN – Jigen was a young monk who was implanted with Isshiki Otsutsuki’s Karma seal and is now the leader of the secret society Kara.  Armed with exceedingly powerful Karma skills and highly powerful Chakra, Jigen is one of the BORUTO series’ most powerful villains.
