It has been a while since we’ve seen something new from the Crysis franchise, but now it’s officially confirmed that a new Crysis game is in development, as announced by developer Crytek. Check out more on the announcement below, as well as snippets of what we will probably see from this next title in the franchise.

As announced in the official press release, this new Crysis game is in the early stages of development, although Crytek has decided to announce the game early. Little else is known about it otherwise, but Crytek did announce that they are hiring to fill roles for the game’s development.

Crytek has a proud history of working with our community to develop the games you want to play. Crysis is incredibly important to so many people – it’s beloved by gamers everywhere, and some of those working in the industry today are doing so because of the original game – so we want to make sure the next instalment in the franchise lives up to all of your expectations. In addition to this, the studio also stated that they have some great things planned for their other IP, Hunt: Showdown, later this year, so players should look out for updates on this as well.
