It’s 2023, and everyone from around the world is greeting each other as the new year arrives, including game studios. The Final Fantasy 16 Twitter account wished everyone a happy new year, with a little extra surprise for FF fans.
In the tweet, we get a glimpse of some new artwork for FF16. Have a look:
Final Fantasy is a franchise that’s loved not only for its great storytelling and vibrant worlds but also for its stunning promotional artwork. Fans are treated to these works of art for games that are approaching release, and for games such as Final Fantasy 14, Square Enix releases regular art pieces for events and major patches.
This particular poster reveals FF16’s main character, Clive Rosfield, alongside his friend and confidant, Jill Warrick. It’s unclear what the characters are standing on, or what the odd shapes are, though it does seem to portray a wall of some kind.
As announced before, the tweet also mentions Final Fantasy 16’s release date, which is set for June 22. The game will be a PS5 exclusive on launch.
