New Five Nights at Freddy’s Game “Secret of the Mimic” Announced for 2025
Animatronic horror fans, rejoice! A new Five Nights at Freddy’s (FNAF) game has been announced, and it’s due for release in 2025! Officially titled ” Five Nights at Freddy’s Secret of the Mimic,” it will one again be developed by Steel Wool Studios.

Those familiar with Mimic, the character is the main antagonist in the Tales from the Pizzaplex series, and the Security Breach “Ruin” DLC. Mimic is an experimental artificial intelligence (AI) that was created to copy any movement it sees and care for Edwin Murray’s son, David Sean Murray. However, once David dies in a car accident, Edwin beats down the Mimic using a metal pipe due to grief, thus making it violent.
The tease trailer has the tagline, “To see the future sometimes you need to understand the past,” which suggests the game might be a prequel of some sort? No platforms or a firm release window was given just yet, though I imagine we’ll be getting more info soon.
Ahead of today’s announcement, FNAF: Security Breach is now available as a free game for existing PlayStation Plus members! Steel Wool even released a patch earlier today that housed a good number of fixes.
