It’s time to learn what Gears of War 4 Versus Multiplayer is all about. Today, developer The Coalition launched a new overview trailer in preparation for the upcoming Open Beta, showing off how Gears’ man-versus-monster combat has evolved since its last outing.
The Gears of War 4 Versus Multiplayer Beta is on now for anyone who played Gears of War: Ultimate Edition. On April 25 (this Monday), however, anyone with an Xbox Live Gold account will be able to join in on the action for free for one week. The Beta closes on May 1.
Two Versus Modes with competitive ranking are available, including Team Deathmatch and Dodgeball. The third is a Co-Operative TDM mode played against Hardcore difficulty bots. The three maps highlighted in the trailer above are also playable in the Beta, as are all of the new moves like the vault kick and yank. Hitting level 20 will guarantee access to the “Vintage Kait Character” when the game officially launches later this year.
