Wild Hearts, an upcoming monster hunting game, just revealed its latest trailer during The Game Awards 2022. The Wild Hearts trailer features some of the monsters (or Kemono as they’re called in-game) that you’ll end up encountering throughout your playthrough.

Causing a real threat to Azuma’s fantasy landscape, Kemono are giant beasts that have fused with their environments, wielding the power of nature to reshape their surroundings to suit their needs and battle for territory. Players will encounter all types of Kemono in WILD HEARTS – from plant-infused squirrels to the massive Kingtusk wild boar and many more – as they traverse the world. The new trailer showcases three of the most powerful Kemono players will take on, including Deathstalker the savage wolf, Amaterasu the giant hawk, and for the first time Golden Tempest, the ferocious, unforgiving tiger and its tornado of sand and gold.

The Kemono featured in the trailer seem to be fighting in their natural environments, such as the icy Deathstalker on a snowy landscape. Landing hits on some of these monsters (such as the Amaterasu) looks particularly tricky, so you’ll really need to make use of the Karakuri crafting system in order to close the gap or catch the monsters off-guard.

Wild Hearts is expected to drop on February 17 next year on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
