According to the tweet, this Direct will run for about 40 minutes and will largely focus on games releasing “this winter,” which likely means games slated for release between December 2023 and March 2024. We know relatively little about Nintendo’s 2024 games currently. An as-of-yet untitled Peach game is currently planned for next year, but other than that, the big N’s been quiet about what’s on the horizon.
In terms of what else is coming up for Nintendo, the next few months are big. Super Mario Bros. Wonder drops on October 20, and the Super Mario RPG Remake drops on November 17. It’s been over a decade since we last got a new Super Mario Bros. game, and Super Mario RPG is a beloved game that’s sure to bring a lot of nostalgia to classic Nintendo fans.
Nintendo’s plans beyond the Switch are also currently rumor-ridden, but very exciting. You can check out the latest whispers of a Nintendo Switch 2 here. As always, take these with a grain of salt.
