Blizzard Entertainment is opening up its celebratory chapter for Overwatch 2 with three special weeks of multiplayer mayhem. The successful sequel has garnered significant attention from gamers and critics, with a wide variety of audiences tuning in for the action. After a year of new heroes, competitive gameplay, and eye-catching events, players are invited to celebrate the Overwatch 2 anniversary together. Some game modes are actually making a return for the first anniversary of the game.

Overwatch 2 Anniversary 2023 Event Info:

Starting today, September 19, 2023, players can log into Overwatch 2 and start collecting Overwatch Credits throughout three distinctive weeks. Each week, from September 19 to October 9, 2023, new challenges will appear alongside some premium skins.

The three weeks each individually offer different rewards and events, which makes certain gameplay matchmaking sessions limited to some extent. All are explorable through the Arcade of Overwatch 2, where players can select the game modes from. In either case, the three weeks are as listed:

• Week 1 – Winter Wonderland and Battle for Olympus
• Week 2 – Assault, Catch-A-Mari, and Starwatch: Galactic Rescue
• Week 3 – Summer Games and Mischief & Magic

For Week 1, stay frosty with the return of Winter Wonderland and its peculiar event game modes. It’s supported by the Battle for Olympus if players are looking for a beefier game match to engage in throwing snowballs isn’t on the radar. Week 2 opens the nostalgic doors for some classic Arcade gameplay to support the return of the Assault, Catch-A-Mari, and Starwatch: Galactic Rescue modes. Finally, Week 3 whips out the sunshine fun with Summer Games and Mischief & Magic for some little prop-hunting thrills.

Remember, the Overwatch 2 anniversary celebration begins today and will run through October 9. The special Anniversary Shop will close its doors on October 16.
