Blizzard Entertainment is ready to let players test Overwatch 2 out! While the game’s first closed alpha testing starts today, it will be exclusive to Blizzard employees, Overwatch League pros, and a few other select groups, and will be in select regions only. However, the Overwatch 2 beta will launch for PC gamers this April, and that one, anyone can play (provided they manage to sign up and get in).
The beta will be about PvP, with the developer decoupling the PvP and PvE experiences. No firm release date is available for the Overwatch 2 beta set in April, but we do know what gamers can expect from it!
- New Damage Hero: Sojourn
- New Game Mode: Push
- 5v5 Multiplayer
- Hero Reworks
- 4 New Maps
Players who want to be part of the beta group can sign up here, though Blizzard has already said access will be granted in phases, so no guarantees that people who sign up will automatically be part of the beta.
Players can watch the latest development update by Blizzard’s Aaron Keller below.
Over on Twitter, the official Overwatch account relayed the following info regarding the Overwatch PvP beta in April:
