Overwatch Servers Down Permanently in Prep for OW2 This October 3

Those trying to login to Overwatch but can’t, I hate to break it to you, but the Overwatch servers are down and it’s not going back up! Blizzard has essentially killed off Overwatch 1, as Overwatch 2 is set to be released tomorrow, October 4. 

Overwatch Servers Down Status and Updates:

This server outage has been confirmed by the community, though Blizzard hasn’t mentioned anything about it just yet.

We’ll update the post if Blizzard announces anything substantial but we’re not expecting that at all. If you’re feeling a bit sad, go read about some of the good memories players have shared throughout the game’s long lifespan.

Overwatch, it’s been nice knowing you! Thanks for the memories!

Don’t forget, Overwatch 2 will launch tomorrow for the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and PC, and it’ll be free-to-play.
