Those wondering why there’s no day one update for Payday 3, or simply wondering when the game’s first patch is dropping, it seems we have the answer to that, as Starbreeze has confirmed that the first Payday 3 upcoming update is set to drop this October 5.
This was revealed by Starbreeze’s “Elisabeth” (via ItsDynamical) over on the game’s Discord channel, where it was also confirmed that it will tackle the PS5 cosmetics issue among other things.
Of course, given the server issues the game has been plagued with since launch, coupled with the bugs the game is suffering from, some might argue that two weeks is a rather super long wait to roll out fixes.
Speaking of server issues, Starbreeze CEO Tobias Sjögren has gone on Twitter to apologize for the predicament the game’s online infrastructure has been since launch.
We are so sorry that the infrastructure didn’t hold up as expected, and although it’s impossible to prepare for every scenario – we should be able to do better. We work tirelessly until we have restored all services and our players can get back to heisting again without issues!

Lost interest in this dumpster fire of a game. There is nothing new in it anyways. Same old stuff as before. But now you have to make yet another account that you will never use to play it. Bad design, bad implementation, bad idea. Good riddance
If you were already set on giving it a bad review before, than why even bother trying it? Sure servers are absolutely crap but the game actually has enjoyable aspects. You shouldn’t talk about yourself like that you’ll find love somewhere.
I love how I still can’t play the game after spending $98 on the gold edition it literally felt like the worst investment I’ve made in a while. I mean Jesus man the “extra” content I paid for isn’t even available in game until two weeks later

And you pay for gamepass. Not everyone buys it nor does everyone even have access concerning Playstation. I myself don’t play enough different games to validate using it. The problems are inexcusable. Sure the gameplay is great, but the fact it’s borderline unplayable at times completely overshadows anything good they’ve done by how monumentally bad their decisions in development are. No offline mode, No Voicechat, horrible UI, and an extreme lack of content to justify the cost we spent especially considering we’re only getting 4 new heist in the next year. No matter how much I want this game to be good I find it insane anyone can white knight for it solely based on how good payday 1 and 2 were.
Shutup about paying for game pass. Xbox gold was a thing for a long time and so has Playstation charging for online play. If you want to play single player games, stick to those and stop acting like these developers aren’t trying. You already knew what the game was going to be, you decided to buy it. You messed up, so stop bitching 🤷♂️
