While Phantom Blade Zero originally had a State of Play scheduled that would showcase the action game, that doesn’t seem to be happening anymore, though that doesn’t mean we won’t see more of S-Games’ debut PlayStation title.

The developers confirmed we’ll be seeing 11 minutes of the game next week, and at the same time, pre-orders will go live.

If that’s not exciting enough, the developers are even teasing something more, and we might have a good idea what it is.

In an announcement on X (formerly Twitter), S-Games mentioned that the game’s development is done, which means the game has hit gold status.

In addition to that, there is an 11-minute trailer set to go live next week on August 11 at 7 pm PT/10 pm ET, which means we’ll be seeing a ton of gameplay.

Not only that, but the developers also say that we should get ready for “something unexpected,” which could mean a lot of things. Personally, I think or assume it’s an announcement for a demo or a shadow drop of the demo? At least one can hope.

For those wondering, Phantom Blade Zero is not a Souls game, and its main story campaign is around 20-30 hours long, and will even offer second phase boss respawns.

Phantom Blade Zero is set for release on October 29 on PS5 and PC, and is confirmed to be a console-exclusive to Sony’s platform for 12  months.
