PlayStation Console Exclusive Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls Announced, and It’s Being Developed by ARC System Works

A new Marvel 2.5D Fighter has been announced, and no, it’s not a new Marvel vs. Capcom.

But don’t feel disappointed just yet, as the new game, dubbed Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls, is being developed by Arc System Works, the very same studio that brought us the incredible Guilty Gear Strive and Dragon Ball FighterZ.

A New 4v4 Tag Team Challenger Has Arrived

That’s not the announcement I was expecting to see from today’s State of Play, and I mean that in a good way, as this certainly is a massive surprise. Loving the art direction it has going for it too, as it definitely gives off a “comic/anime” style to it. No surprise considering Arc System Work’s past titles, but damn does this look good. 

For those wanting more of a behind-the-scenes look, well, here’s your chance, as Marvel has also released a video diving into the development of the game, and how it came to be.

At the moment, there is no release date for Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls, though it’s currently targeting a 2026 release and will be released on both the PS5 and PC.
