PlayStation in Talks With Roblox to Port the Game to Their Platform

Have you ever wondered why Roblox is available on Xbox, but it still hasn’t appeared in the PlayStation store? We might have an answer for you. During the FTC vs Microsoft legal battle, it has been revealed by an evidence document that PlayStation is the reason why the game hasn’t shown up on the PSN Store.

Roblox currently has over 60 million daily active users, so why would PlayStation skip this title? CEO of PlayStation, Jim Ryan has responded:

Historically, because of the large number of children that play on the PlayStation, we have been very careful with regards to opening them up to anything that could potentially exploit them.

However, this has changed over time. Ryan says that the company has been “conservative for too long” and that the company is currently “engaging with people at Roblox,” hoping that the situation would change.

In May of last year, a job listing for a PlayStation engineer appeared at Roblox, hinting that a PS version of the game is on the way.

However, it has been over a year and we haven’t heard an official announcement about Roblox heading to PlayStation. But it’s good to know that folks at PlayStation are engaging to bring the title to their platform. Once we hear more about Roblox on PlayStation, we’ll be sure to let our readers know.

I hope Roblox releases on PlayStation eventually, and it’s not that far off. With 60 million active users i wouldn’t imagine SiE passing it by.
