PlayStation Makes the PSVR 2 More Affordable With New Price Cut
[summaraize]
One of the best VR gaming headsets on the market just got a lot more affordable, as PlayStation today announced that it is permanently reducing the price of the PSVR 2.
The new price point will be implemented starting this March in specific regions.
One of the Best VR Headsets on the Market Is Now Cheaper to Buy

As announced by PlayStation, the PSVR 2 is getting a price cut starting this March across multiple regions for the Horizon Call of the Mountain Bundle. Originally priced at $499.99 USD, PlayStation is slashing the price by $100, making the bundle $399.99. The bundled includes the PSVR 2 headset, two Sense controllers, stereo headphones, and a copy of Horizon Call of the Mountain for the PS5. Details on pricing for the affected regions are below.
- $399.99 / €449.99 / £399.99 / ¥66,980 recommended retail price (includes tax for EUR, GBP, and JPY)
As a reminder, the PSVR 2 is also compatible with a PC via an adaptor, which is also available for purchase. Specs that are required to be able to run the headset on PC are found below, along with some of the features that aren’t available to use on PC (but are on PS5).

ANd the list of features currently not supported on PC for the PSVR2.
- HDR
- Headset feedback
- Eye tracking
- Adaptive triggers
- Haptic feedback
Still, PC gamers will get to enjoy the other features, such as 4K visuals, 110-degree field of view, finger touch detection, see-through view, foveated rendering, and 3D audio in many of their favorite VR games. That, and they don’t have to worry about the lack of VR games as PC has far more support when it comes to the platform.
All in all, this is a pleasant surprise from PlayStation, as they only increased the price of the PS5 in various regions last year. While price cuts are typically normal to see, these past few years, with COVID, and chip shortages hitting a multitude of industries that have yet to recover, and now tariffs being pushed by the USA, price cuts have become more and more rarer, with retailers marking prices higher than the standard MSRP in some industries.
