If you were in the habit of tweeting directly from your PS4 or PS5 or sharing content from your console to Twitter/X, it might be time to move on. A new announcement from PlayStation states that Twitter/X integration is getting removed from the platforms on November 13.

This announcement was shared directly on PS5 systems earlier today.

The announcement reads as follows:

IMPORTANT CHANGES TO PLAYSTATION COMMUNITIES ON YOUR PS5 CONSOLE

As of November 13, 2023, integration with X (formerly known as Twitter) will no longer function on PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 consoles. This includes the ability to view any content published on X on PS5/PS4, and the ability to post and view content, trophies, and other gameplay related activities on X directly from PS5/PS4 (or link an X account to do so). If you’re concerned about being able to share your PlayStation clips and images online, worry not: you’ll still be able to send your captures to the PS App and post them from your mobile device. Still, it adds an extra step to what was a fairly straightforward process.
