PlayStation Store “Summer Game Fest” Sale Kicks Off With Over 2,000 Discounted Items

With the Summer Game Fest set to kick off this weekend, Sony has launched the PlayStation Store “Summer Game Fest” sale, and there’s a ton of titles available at discounted rates. Read on for the complete list, as well as our recommendations for the sale.

RECOMMENDATIONS:

• Ghost of Tsushima: DIRECTOR’S CUT (-58%, $29.39 PS5, -67%, $19.79 PS4): Now’s the perfect time to hop into Ghost of Tsushima with the game having just launched on PC. The community for its multiplayer mode, Legends, is more active than it’s been in YEARS, and it’s well worth your time.
• Street Fighter 6 (-50%, $29.99): Street Fighter 6 was easily the best fighting game we got last year, and half off is a very respectable discount. The Deluxe Edition is also 50% off and for just $42.49, it’ll also net you the Year 1 Character Pass, which is very nice.
• The Talos Principle 2 (-50%, $14.99): The Talos Principle 2 is a phenomenal puzzle game and a sequel that improves on the first game in nearly every way. At fifteen bucks, it’s a steal.
• Various Yakuza games (Yakuza Remastered Collection -75%, $9.99/Yakuza Kiwami games & Yakuza 6 -75%, $4.99/Yakuza: Like a Dragon -80% $11.99): Nearly every game in the Yakuza/Like a Dragon series is on sale currently, and all for very affordable prices. If you’ve been waiting to get into the beloved beat-em-up (and now turn-based RPG) series, now’s your chance.
• Resident Evil 4 – Gold Edition With DLC (-20% at $39,99), RE4 Base Game (-25% at $29.99):  One of the best remakes of all-time, this makes Resident Evil 4 a whole lot better. This adds new content and features to the game, and is well worth the price of of admission regardless if you played the original or not.
• Mortal Kombat 1 Premium Edition (-60% at $43.99): Not a bad fighter, and this bundle contains the DLC characters and Homelander just got released. If you’re not a fan of Mortal Kombat’s fight mechanics, this won’t sway you.
• Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown (-40% at $29.99): An excellent metroidvania title that’s getting constant updates and will even have a premium DLC later this year. Lots of hidden rooms and side missions to keep players busy. Don’t let the fact that this isn’t a AAA title stop you from trying this.
• Resident Evil Village Gold Edition (-60% at $19.99): This concludes Ethan Winters’ story in Resident Evil, and even includes the story DLC. Note that this is not a long game but the atmosphere is fantastic (especially early on) and the story is intriguing as well.
• Death Stranding Digital Deluxe Edition (-60% at $19.99 and Director’s Cut -50% at $29.99): If you dig Kojima’s style and out-of-this-world ideas, then this is for you. Disclaimer that there is not a lot of combat, but there is a sequel incoming, so this could be your entry point before that one is released.
• Resident Evil 2 (-75% at $9.99): My personal fave RE remake game, this one has not only graphical improvements, but also new stuff! With Leon and Claire’s campaigns both needing a complete finish, it’s also not a short game and is bang for the buck at that price.
• Cult of the Lamb (-40% at $14.99): Deceptively addicting! It’s hard to explain but assembling and growing your cult is so satisfying. The combat, while isn’t that deep, isn’t bad either. It also nurturing mechanics and the kind of visuals that should entice your kids or SO to try it.
• Resident Evil 7 (-60% at $7.99): One of the creepiest Resident Evil games, this introduces first-person to the mainline RE games. This is also where we get to see Ethan for the first time (and Mia!), and has a lot of tense moments. If you have PSVR, you should try playing it to amp up the scare factor.
• Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart Digital Deluxe (-50% at $39.99): If you haven’t played a Ratchet game, this is your chance to remedy that. Expect zany weapons, a not-so-serious tone, and the first game that we can safely say couldn’t be pulled off on PS4.
• Titanfall 2 (-75% at $4.99): I will never not recommend this: Titanfall 2 is one of the best first-person games of all-time. Both the campaign and multiplayer are top tier, though don’t expect the MP to be easy since the only ones left are the super sweats still playing the game.
• Aliens: Dark Descent (-40% at $23.99): A strategy game based on the Aliens franchise. This is one hard game, so if you like a challenge, then this is for you.
• For Honor (-85% at $4.49): If you’re tired of multiplayer shooters, then this might fit the bill. Ubi has also confirmed another year of support as well.
• The Division 2: Warlords of New York Ultimate Edition (-75% at $14.99): This is still getting support from Ubisoft, and a good co-op shooter, If you can get a friend or two to group up, it’s a fun campaign to finish, and there are multiplayer activities to go on after. The Div 3 is also confirmed, so this might be a good entry point for some (just YouTube the story).
• Alien: Isolation (-75% at $9.99): A full-on horror game based on the Alien franchise. Scary but not a lot of action, so don’t expect to shoot your way out.
• Outriders Complete Edition (-35% $19.49): Engrossing gameplay and fun to play with friends. Not a live service game though it looks and feels like one. This includes the Worldslayer premium DLC that adds story missions and gear. You can spend dozens of hours changing your class and builds. It’s like Destiny but minus the live service part.
