PS4 Update Jumps to Version 12.50 Brings Improvements

Aside from rolling out a new PS5 system update, Sony has also released PS4 update version 12.50 today, and this isn’t your standard stability patch, as it improves something in the console.
This is a small download, and given the console’s lifecycle, don’t expect a lot of new features to be implemented in any system updates.
PS4 Update 12.50 Improves One Aspect of the Console
The console mentions that this system patch has the following changes:
- We’ve improved the messages and usability on some screens
Unfortunately, that’s it as Sony doesn’t go into detail on what got changed. The same improvement was mentioned for the PS5 update, and Sony didn’t explain what improved for messaging on that console, either.
While the PS4 system might not be getting new features, its games are still being updated frequently. Not to mention, most of the PlayStation Network sale deals still include PS4 games. Speaking of which, the Mega March sale is still ongoing and has many good PS4 games at a discounted price.
