You can now activate PS5 Dolby Vision support for your Bravia TVs, despite Sony releasing a firmware that locks ALLM on their televisions to always stay on Game mode. This allows you to experience higher frame rates with Dolby Vision, although it does need some set-up in advance to do.

The information comes from Nikos Papasugar, who posted a video on the Dolby Vision support for PS5 on Bravia TVs as well as on a separate Reddit thread:

As noted in the tutorial video, utilizing Dolby Vision in this way allows you to play supported games at a fidelity that’s akin to 120 frames-per-second (fps), a combination that’s not exactly officially supported by Sony after the firmware update. The method also reduces input lag for 30fps or 60fps titles, allowing those who play competitive multiplayer titles to be able to frag to their fullest. Unfortunately, according to Nikos’ post, this workaround only fully works on games with stable frame rates; at the time of writing, Elden Ring is suffering from dips from time to time, and you will most likely experience some input lag if you tried this method.
