PS5 Update 23.02-08.20.02.06 Released
Sony has sprung PS5 update 23.02-08.20.02.06 this November 8, and this is an unannounced system firmware update. Read on for what’s new and how big the download is down below.
PS5 Update 23.02-08.20.02.06 Patch Notes:
Size: 851.3MB
Oddly enough, there is no system changelog that showed up for this one. We’re assuming that this includes your standard stability upgrade that comes with every minor system update. Given we just got a big firmware update last month added that new features, this more than likely plugs any security holes spotted in it.
We might get another firmware update (or this is part of it) for the Twitter integration pullout Sony has announced recently.
We’re on the lookout for any changes and additions, and once we find any, we’ll update the article to reflect it.

I never even realize a system software updates available until i just happen to read an article about it. Because i never get a notification or anything that specifically mentions that an updates available, maybe they can add a feature that lets you know when a system software updates available.
If the new SS (System Software) is a major/critical one (that is mandatory in order to get online) you will get a notification about it when you try to sign-in in PSN.
If it’s a minor one (that is not needed for online) you might not get a notification. But i don’t remember such SS in the 10 months i have my PS5 (it did happen a lot with the PS4 SS updates though).
Or you have setup your PS5 to auto start and update when a new SS is available.
