PS5 Update 26.05-13.60.00 Released on July 23 and Does Exactly What You Expect
Sony has pushed out another unannounced PS5 system update today, July 23, and this is a minor firmware patch.
Players will see this download clock in at just 1.2 GB, and will be PS5 update version 26.05-13.60.00.
Don’t expect much from this, as we usually get a beta to test a firmware’s new features if it’s a significant system patch.
PS5 Update 26.05-13.60.00 Improves the Usual
Per Sony, today’s system update does the following:
- We’ve improved the messages and usability on some screens.
Yep, that’s about it. This is to be expected from minor system updates, and more often than not, these stability updates also add backend security measures to prevent homebrew and cracking the system.
Hopefully, Sony rolls out a new beta testing program soon, and we get a significant system update before 2026 ends.
