Rainbow Six Siege Operation Deep Freeze Delayed for Further Testing

Rainbow Six Siege Update 2.64

Rainbow Six’s upcoming seasonal update is being pushed back following an announcement from Ubisoft. This morning, the team announced that Rainbow Six Siege Operation Deep Freeze will be postponed in order to complete further testing and ensure it’s ready for public release.

The announcement was posted on the official Rainbow Six Siege Twitter/X:

Even though the update was postponed, it was apparently pushed to Xbox systems by accident this morning:

The update, which was originally slated to release today, includes a new Defender named Tubarão, who is equipped with Nitro mines that slow players down and mark their footsteps. The update also includes a new map, Lair, and numerous significant balancing changes.

It’s a little unfortunate that this delay was announced on the day the update was scheduled to release. A quick scroll through the replies to the announcement shows that fans are unhappy with the lack of communication from Ubisoft prior to the postponement. Hopefully in the future these sorts of announcements come a little sooner.
