Rainbow Six Siege X Y10S3 Update Preview Details New Operator, Modernized Maps, Balance Changes Headed to Players
The next major update of Rainbow Six Siege X is almost here, and this time around, we’re getting a new Defender in Denari! Not only that, but we’re also getting modernized maps, a host of balance changes, improvements to ShieldGuard and more.

New Operator Denari Overview
- Defender, designed to block down entry points, stall out pushes and force attackers to rethink their approach
- The first Swiss operator in Siege X, joins NightHaven
- Gadget, T.R.I.P connectors; by itself does nothing but when joined via line of sight with other connectors, the preview system allows you to see if it will connect or not. You have 7 trip connectors to utilize, the lasers are visible and loud. When an enemy walks through, it will deliver a decent amount of damage and slow down the attackers temporarily, will guard break shield operators
- Weapon, Scorpion EVO 3, a high fire rate gun perfect for close quarter engagements.
- FMG-9 is a fast, clean and more accurate gunfights
- Glaive-12, the first secondary slug shotgun, delivers high damage shots, a quad barrel side-arm
- Brings a deployable shield and observation blockers for fortifying
- 3 speed, 1 health operator
- Pairs excellent with operators Jager or Wamai and Mute, Mozzie are solid picks
- IQ can scan and ping the trip connectors; Twitch, Zero or Brava can come in and destroy the connectors, an EMP is a great tool as well
Dual Fronts
Second Assignment “Keres Safe Room”. Take control of a safe room, when activated indestructible walls will come down in the path you used to go into the room. As this is Rainbow Six Siege, there is more than just using the front door to get into a room. Contain control of the safe room as long as you can.

The three maps have all new lighting, new textures, new materials and the new gameplay indestructible ingredients introduced into Siege X. A reminder, 3 new maps will be modernized every season.
R6 ShieldGuard Improvements
- There has been a spike of cheating since the launch of Siege X
- Working to improve false bans being triggered
- Pushing updates live to protect fair play
- Season 3’s focus in how to detect and deploy
- Behind the scenes, AI Detection is getting sharper
- New Gameplay Violations
- MouseTrap, aimed at detecting recoil tampering
Anti-Toxicity Improvements
- Privacy Nickname: A nickname is displayed in-game, allowing for more privacy, especially for streamers. Players are de-anonymized at the end of the match.
- All privacy settings will be available for console players
- Voice chat protection for Season 3, tracking the reputation system, negative reports. Goal is to make everyone feel welcome in Siege
- Reports made will be validated and as accurate as possible
Balancing Changes in Y10S3
- Animations being updated on ballistic shields throwing gadgets behind cover. User will become a little exposed when taking this action
- Blackbeard will receive five changes; Can no longer break through a full health barricade while on rappel, ADS is now blocked and canceled when rappelling in through a window, the shield now folds completely while reloading, the MK17 will have a reduction in ammo capacity five less rounds in each magazine, the whole adaptive shield will have one less breach charge
- Magnified scopes; being removed from operators that are not wielding a DMR or a slug shotgun: Doc, Rook, Frost, Tachanka, Castle and Echo will all lose the magnified scopes. Echo will receive a boost in his speed based on this change
- Reaper MK2; recoil improved, four additional operators will be able to use the Reaper MK2; Ying, Oryx, Pulse and Sledge
- Striker will be receiving the SR-25, Sentry will be receiving the TCSG12.
